sfGFP

sfGFP, a stable fluorescent protein with high intensity
sfGFP stands out from regular GFP due to its superior stability and folding efficiency under challenging conditions. Unlike regular GFP, sfGFP maintains its fluorescence even when conditions threaten the structure and fluorescence of wild-type GFP. Both sfGFP and wild-type GFP emit green fluorescence when excited by UV light, but sfGFP boasts slightly higher fluorescence intensity and enhanced photostability, making it a more effective choice for imaging applications.
